Stress Engineering Services COVID-19 Update: Open and Operating

HOUSTON (Mar. 24, 2020) – Today, Judge Lina Hidalgo issued a “stay-home-work-safe” order for Harris County, Texas which goes into effect today, Tuesday, March 24th at 11:59 p.m. This order will remain in effect through Friday, April 3rd. Stress Engineering Services, Inc. supports a number of Essential Critical Infrastructure sectors, as defined by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including Energy, Defense/Aerospace, Chemical, Manufacturing, and Materials. Therefore, we are allowed to continue operations in support of our nation’s critical infrastructure.

The states of Ohio and Louisiana have also implemented similar orders this week requiring that “All Persons Stay at Home Unless Engaged in Essential Work or Activity”.  The support functions conducted in our Mason, Ohio and Metairie, Louisiana facilities also are within the definition of Essential Work.  Therefore, Stress Engineering Services, Ohio and Louisiana operations remain open for business.

We will continue to comply with most of the provisions of the “stay at home” orders, and our employees will operate in a safe and protective manner by practicing good hygiene, practicing social distance guidelines, following the CDC’s health recommendations, and limiting non-essential interactions. In addition, our employees who are able to effectively work from home may do so.
