Our Process Technology team is comprised of Subject Matter Experts in mechanical, civil, electrical, metallurgical, materials, water chemistry, theoretical and applied mechanics. More importantly, they provide “Actionable” engineering solutions to improve plant operations. Our Process Team includes experts in data analysis, simulation, and other tools to help clients optimize and troubleshoot their processes and facilities, including safety related studies.
A significant part of the value our multi-disciplinary team brings is their vast industry knowledge and extensive experience in solving real world problems. Our staff often assists process plant clients when they have a failure, an incident, a desire to increase capacity, or a concern. Many of our senior staff personnel have major operating company management and technical leadership experience and are familiar with problems you may experience.
Equipment Optimization & Debottlenecking – evaluate major process equipment and/or process sections to identify how to increase production, improve efficiency, and extend the capabilities of current plant assets.
Equipment Troubleshooting – use advanced tools and techniques to determine causes of production losses, increased inefficiency, and near-hit safety and/or environmental incidents.
Analysis of Process Operations – provide cold eye review of process and related data to identify operational issues as well as connections with equipment reliability.
Advanced Modeling and Simulation – develop models ranging from entire units down to individual equipment components to answer clients’ specific operations/production issues; tools include Steady State process modeling, Dynamic/transient process modeling, Rating and Design calculations for Heat Exchangers and for Distillation Trays and Packing, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, and custom-written applications.
