Our materials testing laboratories are equipped to provide a variety of analytical and testing services from failure analysis to on-site evaluation, accident investigation, group forensic inspections, and litigation support.
Our experienced laboratory staff provides standard metallurgical testing including fractography, metallography, hardness, and mechanical testing. Additionally, our Houston lab is equipped with state-of-the-art scanning electron microscopy, EDS, electron backscatter diffraction, and x-ray diffraction capabilities.
The metallurgical laboratories are supported by more than twenty metallurgical/materials engineers, with an average of over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of industries such as upstream oil and gas, pipeline, downstream refining and petrochemical, manufacturing, consumer products, and consulting. Our metallurgical laboratories are also backed by our extensive full-scale mechanical testing abilities with over 130,000 square feet of laboratory space and load frames up to 18 million pounds in capacity.
