Specifically, due to the aggressive environment that this equipment is subjected to in order to extract the target product, accelerated corrosion attack is typically observed and can consequentially result in detrimental down time and production losses due to component failures and unplanned shutdowns.

At Stress Engineering Services, we have an extensive history of traveling to site for field inspections and testing, conducting metallurgical coupon and corrosion deposit testing to identify/verify corrosion mechanism(s), performing corrosion model simulations, providing alternate material selection for new construction or retrofit, and recommending changes in operations or maintenance practices, all with ultimate goal of improving mining equipment reliability and durability.
